Custom Design Process

The custom design process begins with an idea. Your idea! Whether you know precisely what you are looking for or need our guidance and years of custom design experience, we are here to assist you every step of the way. An appointment is scheduled with our client so that you will have our undivided attention. We want to focus entirely on you and learning more about the custom jewelry piece that we will be crafting. During this time, we will work on your vision of what you want and select the metal and stones that will be needed for the project. And then, we get to work!

CUSTOM DESIGN STEP 1 - CUSTOM CAD

After we discuss what your design will look like, we get to work creating a digital version using our innovative computer modeling software. You get the opportunity to see, approve, and make any changes once we present you with this life-like rendering. You’ll be able to view the jewelry from every angle, which will help have a clear idea about what the finished product will look like. This step helps ensure that we have captured your vision.

CUSTOM DESIGN STEP 2 - WAX

After you approve the CAD design, a wax model of your jewelry will be created with our state-of-the-art 3D printer. More intricate pieces are skillfully carved by hand. The wax models are used to confirm design details and are used in the casting process. You will have an opportunity to approve the wax model, view the design, and request any adjustments or changes. We want you to be completely satisfied with your custom jewelry, which is why we keep you involved with each step of the design process.

CUSTOM DESIGN STEP 3 - CASTING AND SETTING

The art of casting is not a new process. It has been used in various capacities for thousands of years. Our jewelry casting utilizes what is called a lost wax casting. The wax mold is encased in plaster and heated at very high temperatures until the wax melts leaving a cavity that is then filled with the precious metal of your choosing. The castings come out with a matte finish and require a variety of polishing techniques to obtain the desired result. During this step, all the stones are skillfully and securely hand-set into the mounting.

CUSTOM DESIGN STEP 4 - FINISHING

Last but not least, is the finishing step. This is where we take your piece and make it exceptional and uniquely yours! We polish every detail and apply any textures or finishes that your custom piece will feature. Your custom jewelry piece is then thoroughly cleaned and inspected before we present you with your finished item. Custom design is an art and it is our passion. We think you’ll agree that shows in every piece of jewelry that we create.

We also can repurpose and update your heirloom jewelry, by using your old gold and diamonds to turn it into a modern piece. Jewelry is a testament of memories, love, and symbolic significance. We can custom design a fresh piece of jewelry while still having the sentimental value that it means to you. You will be able to use the gold and diamonds that you have inherited and enjoy it in a new ring, pendant, bracelet, or earrings. We will bring your old jewelry to life, and transform it into something you will enjoy for years to come.

Let's bring your dream to life today!

Please tell us what you're interested in designing.
